National Philanthropy Day® (NPD) in Canada is November 15th. It’s a special day where we recognize and pay tribute to the great contributions that philanthropy – and those people active in the philanthropic community – have made in our lives, our communities and our world.
AFP Central Ontario celebrates this annual day with an event recognizing the significant contributions of individuals in our own local communities, who through their own philanthropic giving and their work in our sector, help make fundraising, and fundraisers, stronger.

Youth in Philanthropy Award
AFP Central Ontario Chapter has established a Youth Individual or Group in Philanthropy Award to be presented in recognition of outstanding volunteerism and leadership by youth.
Individual and Group This award recognizes service by an individual ages 10–23 who demonstrate outstanding commitment to the community through direct financial support, development of charitable programs, volunteering and leadership in philanthropy.
One of the Chapter’s central roles is to broaden the public’s awareness of the value of philanthropy. Additionally, the Chapter feels a responsibility to foster coming generations of volunteers, donors, and professionals in the charitable sector. By establishing this award the chapter hopes to serve both aims while giving richly deserved recognition to the efforts of youth, who are involved in philanthropic activities.
AFP Central Ontario graciously acknowledges the amazing support of the Youth in Philanthropy Award provided by
